Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Would like to get temp custoday of my niece who is 2 and

She is in a bad situtation. My brother has a drug and drinking problem as well as his girlfriend, they have gone from living in a one room motel to homeless. I have no idea where to begin to ask for help

Where is the mother? You might contact DHR and have them look into the situation, or you might contact an attorney and petition for custody in the Juvenile court where the child resides.
