Car accident
Hi, I had an accidnet where there was a cow standing in the road at night and I hit it.I was wondering if the owner of the cow was suppost to be responsible for the damages done to my vehicle?

Sadly enough, the current law in Alabama is that the owner of the livestock is not liable for damages to your vehicle (or even personal injury or death that a driver such as you might experience) unless the owner put or placed the livestock upon the roadway. For example, if they were driving the livestock across the road when you struck it. An owner of livestock can not generally be found at fault for their negligence in keeping up their livestock (as it relates to the facts you presented).
