Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Alabama

I am being evicted from my apartment for having some animals that I was suppose have. But another resident here is not being evicted for having animals that he is not suppose to have. I got rid of the animals in a timely manor as they asked. Is there anything I can do to keep from being evicted. I live on SSI and is very hard to find a place that I can afford.

Thank You

If you breached your lease you can be evicted. The lanlord is under no duty to allow you to get rid of the animals to cure your breach and then stay in the apartment. What does the lease say? You need to get a lawyer to help you with this. If you have no money, try legal aid. Call the bar association in Montgomery to ask if you can get help under the volunteer lawyer program.
