auto accident involving emergency vehicle

i was involved in accident with city fire chief suburban,we collided at intersection my car was totaled and I have significant medical bills can i recover , I had green light and right of way

A lot of this depends on all of the facts, but based upon what you stated, you should be able to recover. An affidavit of claim would need to be filed with the city within 6 months.
