Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Arizona
Bankruptcy
I have been served with a lawsuit action taken in the state of Colorado. I live in Arizona. . My son was in an accident in 2005 in Colorado. Since the truck was mine and he was driving it with my permission the person he hit is suing both of us in excess of 250,000.00 for a host of physical complaints. I am 53 years old. I earn less than 30,000.00 per year. I own no real property. My autos are both over 10 years old. I will face permanent financial ruin if a judgment goes against me. Can I file for chapter 7 to discharge this debt?
