Arrest

Can a police officer pull you over for nothing and if finds out you don't have a valid DL arrest you after pulling you over for no good reason.

Re: Arrest

I assume [based upon more than a few years of experience] that his report, ticket and testimony will state 'good cause' for the stop; he's trained to find it and document it. Don't delude yourself that your word will be taken for granted over his. If you have witnesses or evidence to support your claims, be prepared to use them in court. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting counsel to defend this.

No, a police officer must have probable cause to pull you over. If his probable cause turns out to be false, but in the process finds a valid reason to arrest, then you may be arrested. My suspicion is that although the police officer may not have told you the reason he pulled you over, it will be revealed in the police report that makes its way to the DA's office and ultimately to your attorney.
