Once you are arrested and charged, you have a right to copies of all evidence. However, unless you already know how to effectively represent yourself in court against a prosecutor trying to put you in jail, and know what to do with the evidence you get, most people hire an attorney. If you have been charged you (or, preferably, your lawyer) will be able to learn of and examine the evidence against you. You don't yet have these rights if no charges have been filed.

As a suspect (meaning no charges are filed yet and the case is still under investigation), the answer is more than likely no - they won't show you the evidence they have against you.

Once you're charged, then the answer changes. You (through your attorney) are entitled to the evidence the prosecution has and intends to use against you.
