Grandparents Rights

My 20 year old son has 2 two children by a young lady and she wants to take the children from us seeing them. The mother lives in AZ and doesn't us to see the children. The mother is in college and lives with my son father in Mesa Az. The fahter my son is currently working and seeking his own aparment. The mother wants my son to sign over his visitation rights and I've advised him not to do so.
