Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona
My husband petitioned for divorce. However, he did not serve me within 120 days. Now his attorney wants me to go to her office and sign the acceptance of service. Is the case not dismissed after 120 days? What is going on?

Yes, the case will get involuntarily dismissed if service is not accomplished within 120 days. You're not required to go to the attorney's office and sign an acceptance of service, although you are required to at least sign for the papers via certified mail, signature-verification courier, etc. However, at this point I would just wait and see if the case gets dismissed and, if so, whether he refiles. Best of luck!
