Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona
hello, my girlfriend and i are american citizens since birth. our son will be born in mexico with her family. we would like to bring him back soon after birth but passport and birth abroad processes take too long. what else can we do so he can enter the US?
1 Answer from Attorneys
You MUST register his birth with the US embassy or consulate in Mexico BEFORE returning to the USA. There is no other way to bring him undocumented back to the USA. First of all, you need a birth certificate/registration of birth abroad. This doesn't take that long.
