I came in 2001 with j-1 visa subject to 2 year requirement 212(e)I am about to get married but i have been in this country since 2001 worked cause i had a social but it was valid only with my j1 visa wich is long expired.My question is would I be able to file with my wife if i decide to ieven though i have the 2 year home residency requirement on my visa -Can i adjust my status when i get married or i still have to file for the waiver?

You'll need to apply for the J-1 waiver, and after it is approved, proceed with the adjustment of status.

You have to obtain a waiver of the 212e 2 year home residency requirement. Only then you can apply for adjustment of status. Being married to a USA citizen does not excuse the 212e requirement.
