Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona
My son is facing deportation after serving his time in prison here in Arizona. My son is a U.S. citizen but an error in the prison system has him looking like a Mexican National. I've have sent copies of his birth certificate to the prison staff, and local ICE agencies. How can I help proved that he is a U.S. citezen and avoid his deportation?

If he is a USA citizen, he cannot be deported.
Make sure that ICE office gets a copy of his birth certificate.

A U.S. citizen cannot be deported; yet the government has made mistakes deporting U.S. citizens in the past. Make absolutely certain that you send certified copies of his birth certificate to the Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Citizenship Enforcement Office that has custody over your son. If they persist, do not hesitate to contact your local newspaper and tell them about the situation; as well as advise the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters in Washington DC.
