Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona
I made a huge mistake some years ago. I bought 3 lots in a development in Florida. When I was to supposed to get my money back none was forthcoming. We received a judgement, but there were no funds available. The man was a sheister. Evidently the properties were sold numerous times.
During the several year battle to get my money back, the property was sold again. Now thosed people are suing us for repayment of a promissory note that the man signed. Can they do this? Are we liable?

It is not possible to answer your question without seeing what the complaint says and getting the facts about your purchase and the judgment you obtained against your seller. You should retain counsel to determine your rights and how to respond to this claim against you.
