Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

Can I create a revocable trust without an attorney

My mother-in-law recently had a revocable trust created by her attorney. Could I simply copy the text of that document, changing the trustees and beneficiaries and create a valid trust for myself? Also, would the trust need to be revised if I moved to another state?

Can I create a revocable trust.

While you legally may create a trust without an attorney, it is not advised. You are also strongly advised not to use someone else's trust in an effort to create your own. The best course is visit with an attorney who specializes in this area of legal practice and receive appropriate legal guidance.

You can just copy a trust and execute but this is usually a foolish thing to do. Each

trust should serve a particular purpose. You and your mother-in-law are likely to need

trusts for different purposes. If you move to another state, the trust may have

problems created by the move.
