Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Arkansas
Audio/video recording at work
my employer hsa a camera where I work that records on VHS. That doesn't bother me. What does, is that he RECORDS conservations at the same time with the same system. Is this legal. He has never told us we are being listened to or asked us.

He cannot record conversations without your permission. Employers can record telephone and other conversations it he puts you on notice he is going to do it and you continue to be employed however.
Re: Audio/video recording at work
He cannot tape your conversations without first informing you that he is going to do so. Can you prove that he is recording these conversations? Phone conversations can be recorded if you are informed that this will happen. It might be part of your employment, such as telemarketing companies record a lot of conversations but their employees know this ahead of time.
Have you been harmed in some way by your employer recording your conversations, or has one of your co-employees?
