Dating Age in Arkanasas

My Boyfriend is over 18 and I'm 16 is it legal in arkansas to date?

You can date, but do not have sex. It is illegal for him to have sex with you even if you agree. It is called statutory rape.

Date yes, have sex, probably not. But, the question is really "how important is it that you "date" when he might go to jail as a result"?

The law isn't nearly as important here as what your parents think and feel about the matter.
