Legal Question in Disability Law in California

my car was towed away from a disabled spot from a local furniture store, I am a disabled, the owner said it was over an hour ( true), but was no signs indicating a time limit.

I had to pay my towing fee plus taxi expense......can I slap the owner of the store with my bill to pay?

thank you

If there are no signs stating that there is a limit as to how long you can park in a slot, then there is no time limit. Unless the slot is on the stores own property, I do not see how he can order it towed. A police officer or parking authority member would have to order that be done, and for over parking they would merely give you a ticket. I also do not understand why a tow truck operator would remove the car unless directed to by a member of the local governmental entity controlling parking.

If the only significant facts are what you relate, you would have a clear case to recover from the merchant the costs of the tow and any other related expenses.
