You do not provide us with any details as to what the employer said. Did they say you would be fired if you did not increase your hearing ability? If all they said was that it would be a good idea to get a better hearing aid or that your current level of ability makes you close to unsuited for your current job activities, those are fair and reasonable comments. You can contact the state agency that handles such matters or some hearing rights groups for more concrete assistance.

If you have a disability, they can't discriminate against you, or create a hostile work environment by 'picking on you'. They must 'reasonably accommodate' your disability. They can certainly discuss the situation and the problems it may cause in performing your job properly. They may request you do reasonable things to improve your ability to do your job, such as get a hearing aid.
