Legal Question in Disability Law in California
My father passed away last year. He owned a property jointly with his parents and one brother. For the last ten years of his life, my father paid the property taxes. This year we got the property tax bill and saw that his name no longer appeared on the bill. Obviously he was probably taken off the title. My question is whether this can legally be done in the state of California since there is still a surviving spouse. Wouldn't my mother have to give her consent.

No one can give you an informed opinion without seeing all the documents and understanding all the facts and events. If there was fraud of some kind, or elder abuse, then there may be rights to legal action to correct this. If serious about getting such help, feel free to contact me.
