Legal Question in Disability Law in California
Can the public elementary school I work at require me to provide a doctors note to use a cane as needed? I had a work comp injury in 2010. I had surgery in 2011. Sometime the knee hurts so bad i can hardly walk, even with the cane.
Can the school legally require a doctors note for me to use the cane?

You can be required to reasonable establish your medical need for any accommodation you request. If you haven't claimed disability or need for accommodation, then the employer has no grounds to so request.
