Legal Question in Disability Law in California

If My son is charged and covicted with an MIP and he does everything the court asks, will this remain on his record or does it come off after he has completed everything????

Records are forever, convictions don't "come off". He may be able to get them 'sealed' in the future once he qualifies for that.
