Legal Question in Disability Law in California
So I was told not to come back to work after my mom which was the office manager and the dr got into a disagreement in which he said she stole money. It had nothing to do with me and is false. After filing for UE he apparently never paid it so I finally got a check 4 months later. Now he is appealing the decision. I have court next week do I have a chance. This is getting ridiculous! Please help. Thanks

In general, unless an employee is civil service, in a union, or has a written employment contract, they are an 'at will' employee that can be disciplined or fired any time for any reason, with or without cause, explanation or notice. The employee's goal should be to keep the employer happy. You apparently were fired for suspected or alleged misconduct. IF you can unconditionally prove your innocence, and if he didn't timely oppose your benefits, you might win your appeal.
