Can i refuse to do anything at my job, if it's not according to my job description... Like cleaning light fixtures and climbling ladders... I am an aerospace machinist and i am being asked to do that which our maintainance dept. Should be doing...Can i refuse to do it without getting fired, or written up ?

Re: Employee rights
If you are in a union, they determine your response.
If not in a union -- you refuse, you lose. An employer is free to change your duties, hours, etc. If you refuse, they can discipline or fire you. You are an AT WILL employee.
