Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California

I just purchased a rifle paid the gun transfer fee and went through the ten day wait and two days before i could pick up the gun i recieved a call stating i was denied due to a warrant in another state. Is that right?

Your question really doesn't belong in this category; you may want to re-post it under criminal law. Offhand, though, I don't see anything wrong with what you say happened. The reason the law requires a waiting period is because felons, people with certain outstanding warrants, etc. are not allowed to buy guns and because it takes time to find out who is eligible and who isn't.

Right? Yes, if there is a warrant, and especially if it is for a felony, which will make you a prohibited person banned from possessing firearms. Check into the record, and hire an attorney in that state to defend you if there are charges pending.
