If i file a chapter 7 will i lose my home or car?

Do you have equity in the house? If you do chapter 7 and you have equity...trustee may sell your house. If you do chapter 7 and go on payment plan ...you should be able to keep your house.

probably not ... but there are too many questions that need answers to give you a definite 'no'. Among them: how much equity do you have in those assets? were the liens, if any, perfected timely? do you live alone? how old are you? will you be able to keep up the payments?
