Legal Question in Business Law in California

Billing Question

We moved our company to a new building 5 years ago. We had all of our data services moved and requested billing address updates.

4 Years after this move I get a call requesting payment for services recieved. One of the carriers didn't change our billing and sent 4 years of invoices to the old location.

Even after catching this and me asking them to fix the billing address, they still didn't fix it and I had to call their customer service myself and have it changed 8 Months later.

Is my company liable for paying the entire bill? 4 Years without a call (They called me on the phone as the contact so they had my number the entire time)? Is there a Statute of Limitations on this? Morally I know they should compromise and eat most if not all of the mistake. But legally do I still have to pay or is there a way out?

I still use this service today and we are paying the invoices now that we get them. The invoices we get show no ballance due at all. Just the monthly recurring charge.

Thanks much for your help!

Re: Billing Question

suit has to be filed within four years of the service. Too late? Too bad. It's up to your conscience whether to pay voluntarily.
