I want to give my two weeks tomorrow Dec. 14, my last day will be on the 28th. However we are closed for the week of Christmas. Will my last day be on the 28th or will it carry over to January?

Unless you have a contract (unusual) with your employer that specifies stuff like this, you are free to quit immediately.........although giving prior notice is polite, usually appreciated, and rather common practice. So, I'd say that in most cases it really doesn't matter. However, the usual interpretation of "two weeks" in employee-notice situations is two calendar weeks, rather than ten working days or any other interpretation. Finally, keep in mind that the employer has the right to terminate you immediately, just as you have the right to quit on the spot (usually).
Your last day will likely be the day you tell them you are quitting. Many companies will terminate you immediately and walk you off the property. Consider yourself lucky if they don't.
