Legal Question in Business Law in California
I was laid off from a large company. They are still accessing my corporate e-mail account, that has my name in it, for their financial gain. Do they have the right to continue using my name in an e-mail address or can I insist that they shut down this e-mail address with my name in it?

I believe that this would be improper use of your name without consent. There most likely is a civil cause of action for a privacy tort for misappropriation of name... There are some criminal statutes for impersonation but thy appear to have intent to cause criminal harm attached...
A strongly worded letter may cause them to stop the use of your name for their gain...
It isn't YOUR account, it is the company's account on the company's computers, who can do whatever they like with it. You can ask nicely, in writing, that they change it to delete your name.
