own a bridal shop 16yrs lease up 1/

09 mall mgr wants $52,000 for

Option or agree to cosign new 5year

lease before meeting new buyer who

has lots of money. broker thinks this

is extortion-advises attorney?Help

Any landlord, and any tenant, must abide by the terms of the lease agreement. If it says that the terms are to be fully renegotiated 'from scratch' at the end of term, then you have a problem requiring negotiation and persuasion.

If the lease provides for some automatic percentage or computed increase on renewal, then that is what you are entitled to.
