Legal Question in Business Law in California
Legal Rights of a Manufacturers Represantative
I am a independant rep. that works on commision. Recently a company I sell for began withholding my commission. I have a contract and would like to know my rights. My gross sales averaged 45-70k per month. The company owner called and indicated he only wanted reps with gross monthly sales of 100k. This is not in our contract and nor has he furnished any documentation to terminate our existing documents. Please let me know how I may continue to receive the commission I am entitled to.

By suing if necessary, if you can't resolve this between yourselves. Your written Contract with them determines your rights, assuming it was well enough drafted to actually be useful. Feel free to contact me to discuss your rights and remedies, and for help in negotiations or suit.

What rights you have and how you can protect them will depend upon what your contract says.
