Legal Wage Garnishments
I am a CA Licensed Aesthetician. I work as an independent contractor. Is it legal for my ''employer'' to deduct wages due to a clerical error?

Re: Legal Wage Garnishments
Genuine IC's don't earn 'wages', they are paid on contract basis between businesses. Therefore, review the contract to see if it allows such credits and deductions. You do have a written contract don't you?! If not, it certainly makes the problem more difficult. You can either negotiate a resolution or end up in litigation or end the relationship. Feel free to contact me if serious about getting legal review and help in this.
