Legal Question in Business Law in California

I have an LLC in GA and have just moved to CA - do I need to transfer the business if I still have a residence and clients in GA? If so, how would I do that?

If all the LLC's business is in GA, meaning its principal place of business is in GA, its clients is in GA, and the service or goods is provided in GA, then you would not need to transfer your business in CA.

However, if your LLC has clients in CA and does business in CA, then you would need to register your LLC (GA) with the California Secretary of State.

If your company is going to do business in CA, then you need to register it here.

You do not have to move it. All you have to do is register it as a foreign LLC. There may be reasons to move it, but it would never be required.
