Legal Question in Business Law in California
Notification to a partership?
Hi, I entered into a general partnership with Mark D. He provided the investment capital and I worked, managed and provided my ideas and experience. Recently he has become more active in the business, kicked me out and is withholding keys and access to the business. On the public registration documents to do with the business, my place of residence is listed as the business and legal mailing address along with Mark D's name. I know as the general partner I can accept notification on behalf of the partnership. I would like to send a letter to Mark D. putting him on notice of my legal claim as general partner and sent to the legal business address (my place of residence). I would like to accept notification of this letter on behalf of the partnership, and therefore Mark D. The question. What is the best way to accept notification and maintain a record that can later be used in court by my attorney?

You should ask the attorney you intend to use, it is his advice that matters.
