"not getting anything done"? Before jumping around, determine whether there is anything that CAN be done. If this was a real fraud, I wouldn't expect there to be any money or anyone left to collect from when you've finished spending the time and money on the lawsuit. If there is actually a viable defendant[s], and they have attorneys, then you are ill advised to try to handle this yourself unless you are competent and experienced in court rules, rules of civil procedure, evidence code and rules, motion practice, trial conduct, etc. That's what attorneys are trained in. First, go talk to your attorney and get answers to all your questions about what has happened, and what will happen, and what the costs are. Then, if you really determine you need to remove the attorney, get another attorney. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so, if the case is in SoCal courts.
