Legal Question in Business Law in California
Puppy contract unfulfilled
I bought a puppy from a LLC over the internet from Georgia and the company has yet to send the purchase agreement, AKC papers, shot record, etc. promised on their website's puppy contract. The company will not return my phone calls or emails. I have the puppy and they have my money. What legal action can I take to get my papers, contract, etc.???

I'd guess you will never get anything from them, as they sound like a scam 'puppy mill'. A genuine AKC breeder would have provided all that, and required some info from you, BEFORE allowing you to buy. However, you can file complaints with the AKC, US Postal Service, Attorney General and police in your state and theirs, hire an attorney to sue in their state, etc. to try to get your money back.

If they really are an AKC breeder maybe a letter to the AKC will do the trick. Meanwhile, congratulations on your new puppy!
