Sales Commissions

I recently left a job I had for over 5 yrs. I had alot of Commissions due to me and still had contracts out that my Sales Manager had signed but were in the process of being faxed back to me that already had start dates for service on the books. The Company decided to not let me stay the 2 weeks and released me after just 1 working day thus my Contracts did not make it back in time. Other propects I had seen a few days before who I knew would close before my 2 week departure date I was told I would not be recieving any commission on any of those either.

They are currently holding thousands of dollars of commissions that have been due for over 30 days.What can I do about this problem and do they have to pay me for the new sales since they decided to release me early from my employment?

They didn't release you early, you quit, they accepted it immediately. You can file a claim with the Labor Commissioner for your unpaid comp. It is an argument what and how much you are due, so be prepared to prove it. Feel free to contact me if you want legal help in the filings and hearings; you'll need it.
