That depends on what you are actually doing. If you are truly educating students (or attempting to), then it would seem to fall under the "accessory use" provision of Health and Safety Code section 1597.43, and not therefore be a family day care home.
I think you could benefit from hiring an attorney to give you specific legal advice about your situation, and it should not cost you more than a couple hundred dollars to get an opinion that you could rely upon.
