Legal Question in Business Law in California
Regarding shipping products overseas
Hello Law Guru, I have a few questions about doing business overseas. I have friends in China who would want to sell electronics, they find it profitable if I buy them here in US, CA, online, and then ship it to them. Is this procedure legal? If it is, what (if any) taxes, license, procedures, or tariffs do I need to pay? I'd really appreciated it for a feedback. Thanks!

Re: Regarding shipping products overseas
If you are talking about commercial sales of more than a couple items, you and they are going to need a lot more than casual 'feedback'. You'll have to determine how to comply with the international copyright and patent laws, import/export laws, customs, duties, warranties, etc, etc. You're not going to get a 10 cent answer to an expensive legal situation. Feel free to contact me if serious about setting up the business legally.
