Legal Question in Business Law in California
I want to start a business in California. I wish to get a licenses to grow marijuana in the state of Ca. so I many become a distributor for medical marijuana. I want to know how many plants I am allowed to grow. I also want to know how to get a license. What are the state and federal laws surrounding this issue? Thanks.

Federal law brands you a criminal no matter how much MJ you grow or possess. State law permits growing for lawful medicinal purposes and you do not need a "license." But there are other legal requirements. You might want to check out Oaksterdam University. Also you might want to locate your marijuana business outside of Orange County which has historically been a hostile environment for medical marijuana growers.
You need to rethink your business plan and model, since you are proposing to commit federal felonies by growing for any reason, and state felonies for growing 'for sale'. Don't believe everything you read or are told by 'legalization' advocates. This ain't TV my friend.
California does not presently license anyone to grow marijuana.
