Legal Question in Business Law in California
violation of privacy to take pictures at my customer house as a professional organizer and than put it on my website? (no person, no animal, no phone number, nothing which indicate that was her estate). 2 months ago she said it is not a problem, but for now she is saying she never have given her permission....
Her house is on the internet, on the magazines with her name and address by her interior designer...
This is her email:
"I just went on your website, and was shocked to see pictures of my homes in large numbers all over it! You have used them without permission, and you must take them down immediately.
I want to see them off your website by tomorrow. It is a violation of my privacy. I would never have given permission."

Can't say for sure without more information, but basically taking pictures of other peoples' houses and displaying them publicly isn't, in itself, an actionable violation of privacy rights. You probably didn't need permission, but, again, much more information would be needed to say for sure.
