Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

what do I do?

I have a 5250 on my record from years

ago. My life is great and I enjoy

shooting ranges. But I cant buy a Gun

because of the 5250. Is there a way to

get it removed ? I want my rights back.

You mean a Penal Code 5150/5250 commitment to mental institution? If so, the only way to remove the gun prohibition is to file action in court to request a restoration of rights, then [if successful - no guarantees] file a request with the Justice Dept to honor the court order and remove you from the prohibited list [no guarantees].
