Ammunition in public
is it legal to carry ammunition in public if you arn't carrying or are in possesin of a firearm ???

Probably, otherwise you couldn't get it home from the store, unless you are a 'prohibited person' who has lost his right to possess firearms, as that prohibition applies equally to ammunition. However, no one gets to carry ammo or weapons into prohibited buildings like schools or courts.
