Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
I applied at papa john's a while back and I asked a question already but I obtained some new information that I feel proves that I was discriminated against.
I had a verbal confirmation that I was hired by papa john's and I filled out a new hire packet that was signed by the general manager of the store who is lesbian, and then never received a phone call back after I was supposedly hired.
It's taken over a month since I first applied for them to file all my paperwork and in the last week or two the general manager of the store has hired 4 females who are also lesbian and supposedly she has had relationships with one or more of them. The person in charge of hiring (district manager) is also a homosexual male. I am now sure that I was not hired for a discriminatory reason. I want to know if this is something I can build a case on?

Someday you'll have a good lawsuit, but this isn't it.
You 'knowing' that is the reason, and 'knowing' these 'facts', is not the same as proving it. You'd have to prove to a legal standard, through admissible and credible witness statements or documents, that 'sexual orientation discrimination' was the reason you were not hired. If you actually have adequate proof, and if you're serious about hiring counsel to take legal action, then feel free to contact me to discuss the proof and costs of doing so.
