Arrest Warrant

I had a run in with a fellow gas consumer at a gas station in California. At one point, in talking to her, I touched her arm.....now she is pressing battery charges against me, and I have a warrant for my arrest in CA. I have moved and am living in the state of TX now. I need to know my rights. I do not intend on returning to CA anytime soon.

Your rights are to defend against the charges. You ignored your court notice and now have a warrant for your arrest. You will at some point come in contact with police or other government agencies, who can take you to jail in cuffs, for transport to the CA court. If you decide to do this right with counsel, and if the case is in SoCal, feel free to contact me. It MAY be possible for your attorney to handle it without you having to appear in court.
