assualt and harassment

my daughter is being harass at school and she was bump into by one of the girls its a group of girls that's sending her messages and calling her names that should not be called now my daughter is afarid to go to school because theres a rumor that the set of girls are going to jump on her i have a meeting at the school but i dont know what to do i called to school and they said all they can do is talk to the girls they only can do something if the set of girls hit her and thats a chance that i am not willing to take. the threats that coming my daughter is not cause for and we the adults dont stop the harassment with the kids things can only get worse and it have to start at home

YOU have to involve the police if criminal behavior is going on. Even that isn't likely to help you much, unless show show of force convinces the aggressors to back off. You can speculate as well as anyone.

You might consider having your attorney contact the school to make the point you are serious about them taking protective action. There is no easy magic solution for your problem, because the public schools have little practical way of regulating conduct or stopping violence when it is widespread. Get all the other parents to join forces and make a strong showing to the school administration that they demand discipline and will support the school by helping with 'playground supervision'.

If your daughter is injured, she may have grounds for lawsuit, but that is dealing with the problem after the fact, not a good solution. Contact me if you need any such legal help.
