Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Bad roommate situation

Thank you Mr. Nelson but are you saying I should appear at the OSC hearing (the first one)? I have not been served, I just happen to be saavy enough to go to the court calendar and found her case number and that she had filed the petition. Do I just show up at the hearing even if I have not been requested to be there?

If the other side files a Proof of Service showing you were served, and you do not appear, the orders will be entered by default. Without service on you, they can't get an order.
