Try looking at the California Judicial Council forms for Breach of Contract and for Fraud. If you are doing it yourself, you may want to find your local law library as you will need assistance.

You may have civil remedies under the principle of unjust enrichment. Does the party have assets to attach? Contact me directly.

Re: cival law suit

You certainly need the help, but normally I would advise people not expect to ever recover money from a con man - by definition they live off stealing money from people like you, and even if you get a judgment against him, what assets does he have to collect against??? Unless you can demonstrate he has something worth going after, you would be wasting your time and money - an attorney is not going to do such case on a contingency when they know going in they'll never collect anything to pay for the time. If he actually has assets, feel free to contact me to discuss the situation.

YOu should file a police report and try to get him prosecuted. You might have a chance of the court ordering restitution to you.
