Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
collecting on a judgement
I won a settlement of about 10,500 dollars.I called my ex-employer and he said he wasnt going to pay! The labor board has nothing to do with it anymore since their decision was appealed and I won my case in superior court. I know to go after his bank account and assets , but how? How long do I have to do this ? Im in Ca and he's in Va.Any help will be appreciated.

Re: collecting on a judgement
Hire a VA attorney to try to collect, if he and his assets are there.

I would love to help you with this, no charge, since the law provides that your attorney fees are added to the judgment. Please contact me by email or fax with all information. You have ten years before your judgment must be renewed, but I assume you want your money without delay.
