Re: Court Cases Inquiry

California law and court rules would allow you to move for sanctions up to and including a default judgment against a defendant that fails to comply with discovery proceedings or attend properly noticed hearings. Your attorney should be requesting sanctions if that is happening. If you don't have an attorney, there is no way you can effectively prosecute a case from out of state, even if you knew enough about the court rules and procedures to do these things. Hire an attorney if the case is worth it. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing so, if the case is in Southern California courts.
