Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

hello i have court july 29th , 2010. i was pregnant, and my ex boyfrieng was very happy( i have all his texts saved in my cell phone) , but then i found out, that he had his ex girlfriend pregnant ( he always said he was single, even he took me multiple times to his house ), he was living by himself. When i found out, i sent his wife a facebook msg ( that i still have the sent messege saved), i just told her i was pregnant. Then he found out i talked to her, and he got really mad.

He was abusive verbaly a lot of times, and he said i was going to regret it forever, and he wished my baby died. I was stressing a lot.

Another day he said:(" i will take u to court because u hurt my ex-girlfriend, when u told her everything, u will pay for that") Next day, he went with is dad, to drop off the (proof of service) restraining order. He is acusing me of haressment, that day i lost my baby. Now i have to go to court for something i didnt do. He said he knew me for a month, and that baby wasn't his, he even said i was going to kill him and his daughter, i have proof of everything that is lying. What advise can u give me?

Advice? The only sound advice anyone could give you is to hire an attorney, rather than think you can effectively practice law and defend yourself in this. By doing so, you may be able to prevent the RO from being ordered against you. The facts and evidence, and how they are presented, will determine the outcome. If you can't afford counsel, then go to court and try to present your side, showing you pose no threat to him or anyone.
